CompulogNet International Masters

International Masters Programme in Computational Logic

Dresden University of Technology has launched an International Masters Programme in Computational Logic. The curriculum for this two-year Masters degree has been designed in close cooperation with Compulog Net, whose nodes will compete for individual study units within the programme. The course is intended for students from any country who have a good Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent. A wide range of foundational and advanced units will be offered by leading lecturers in the field. The Masters Programme was inaugurated with a live internet lecture by Bob Kowalski on Sept 19th.
CompulogNet International Masters

Distributed Masters Programme

Compulog Net is committed to support the design and construction of modular study courses in computational logic at Masters and PhD levels. It is planned that such modules should be muti-media based, including internet-based, and suitable for distance-learning.

CALL for PROPOSALS: Nodes of the network, as well as other qualified groups, are invited to submit Proposals to design and implement study modules for any appropriate area of Computational Logic (CL), at introductory or advanced level. Proposals for modules devoted to industrial and commercial applications of CL and suitable for trainees from industry are also welcome.

We envisage that, once in place, a course module can be quickly accredited and recommended to students by any participating group or university. Once sufficiently many modules have been developed, the network intends to launch a Distributed Masters Programme in CL to be accredited internationally by suitable educational institutions. We expect this programme to cooperate closely with the International MSc in Computational Logic at the Dresden University of Technology.

If you would like to participate in this Call for Proposals or wish to cooperate with the network on any aspects of education and training, please contact the network's coordinator, David.Pearce@dfki.de.
