Brandon Hill lamp-posts: observation

The lamp-posts on Brandon Hill are electric versions of olde-worlde gas lamps.

Heavy, presumably iron. They have Bristol Foundry Co. on them

— I should be able to find out about them.

They are black, but appear to have been green once…

  1. This is an amazing experience – facilitating a group of world class educators in a personalised enquiry process so that we can all learn about how to facilitate, structure and guide the process of enquiry more rigorously and with more confidence. As a ‘university academic’ I am aware of having to ‘let go’ of control. I am not the expert, I have to trust the process and allow the learning to emerge. That’s not to say there is no structure here – in fact I’m time keeping really carefully. It’s more like playing jazz – we know what the harmonies and melodies should sound like but we have to allow them to emerge each time anew. It’s always humbling and exciting – witnessing the depths and humanity of such a group.
