1 The ROLE project
The ROLE project offers adaptivity and personalization in terms of content and navigation and the entire learning environment and its functionalities. This approach permits individualization of the components, tools, and functionalities of a learning environment, and their adjustment or replacement by existing web-based software tools.
ROLE is supported by the European Commission, in the theme ICT-2007 digital libraries and technology-enhanced learning, as a large-scale integrating project (IP), under the 7th framework programme.
