Frequently Asked Questions about...

choosing courses at pre-undergraduate / undergraduate level

23. What do I have to do to get a subject specific degree (named degree)?

This is an important question. You have to take the courses that are listed for any subject specific degree. So you need to do some investigation:

a) review the name degree options
b) identify which degrees you can count the courses you have studied towards
or
c) identify which named degree may best suit your career or profession and then select from the listed courses.

You should also check:
a) what time limits might exist for the named degree - can you complete you degree in that time
b) the impact it might have on your class of degree.

If you are a current student the Named Degree website explains the options in more detail. If you are thinking of studying with the OU, you should look in the Courses and Qualification website.
