47. What are study skills at undergraduate level?
Study skills include:
- Organising your study and managing your time
- Developing your reading and note-taking techniques
to suit you and the subject
- Making connections between what you read,
do and see
- Presenting your ideas in writing and answering
questions (e.g. write assignments)
- Develop your own questions about the material
you are studying and undertake limited research on a subject
- Analysing and presenting data, figures, formulae
and experimental results
- Critically analysing what you read and discover
about a subject
- Exploring how you learn effectively and use
good study habits.
Undergraduate level one courses include activities
that will help you to develop these skills.
