On the 31st of December 2018 our project completed its lifecycle after 36 months of implementation. During these 3 years COMRADES managed to have hundreds of references in press and media, gave interviews in newspapers and TV channel, dozens presentations worldwide in conferences, events and workshops, made many lectures in universities across the globe, made countless face to face meetings with citizens, local communities & personnel of civil protection and wrote 30 publications. Moreover, the COMRADES platform proved that can make a real impact in everyday life when needed by being deployed in monitoring Kenya’s General Elections (August 2017 – October 2017).

COMRADES team organised a 3 day exhibition at ICT 2018 in Vienna, to showcase the various technologies developed in H2020 COMRADES project. More than 5000 people attended the event this year, so the COMRADES booth was super busy! Visitors to the booth were able to see and use a crisis mapping platform that was powered with AI technologies to automatically filter, categorise, and verify crisis information shared on Twitter.

Our project expands its network and continues to support other great EU projects! We are glad to announce that COMRADES is part of the I-REACT stakeholders and together - with the rest of H2020 projects - aim these collaborations translate into solutions that have a real social impact!
